Job Description:

The Technical Writer will develop, revise, and maintain critical Flight Operations Manuals such as MEL, FCOM, AFM, and QRH. The role involves close coordination with Flight Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Regulatory functions to ensure high-quality, compliant, and accurate documentation.The candidate must also be capable of participating in discussions with aviation regulatory authorities during MEL approval processes.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical) or equivalent or AME.1-2 Year Experience in aviation technical documentation.
  • Experience with manufacturer flight operations manuals (Airbus, Boeing, ATR, etc.).
  • Exposure to regulatory frameworks/Requirements (DGCA, FAA, EASA)

Skill set:

  • Proficiency in XML/SGML authoring tools (e.g., Arbortext, FrameMaker Structured, Oxygen XML).
  • Strong MS Office capabilities.
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems, flight deck operations, and OEM manuals (MEL, FCOM, AFM, QRH).
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements from DGCA/FAA/EASA.
  • Technical analytical skills to interpret engineering drawings, SBs, ADs, AMM content, CAR, AD, MPM, Manuals.

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Clear communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with pilots, engineers, and SMEs.

Job responsibility:

  • Prepare, revise, and maintain Flight Operations Manuals: MEL, FCOM, AFM, QRH.
  • Create and manage structured XML‑based technical content.
  • Ensure documentation meets regulatory, safety, and operational standards.
  • Analyze and incorporate technical data from SBs, ADs, AMM, and engineering inputs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Flight Ops, Engineering, Quality, Safety).
  • Maintain document version control and change tracking.
  • Proofread and edit documents for clarity, compliance, and accuracy.
  • Support audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Participate in regulator interactions (DGCA/FAA/EASA) for MEL approval, providing clarifications, documentation justifications, and technical explanations as required.
  • Deliver documentation projects within defined timelines.
