Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Part 135 Aviation Technical Writer to create, revise, and maintain technical documentation, manuals, and other instructional materials. This role is critical in ensuring that our operational procedures and technical content are clear, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Create and Update Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other related documents specific to Part 135 operations.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts: Work closely with engineers, pilots, maintenance personnel, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure the accuracy of content.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure that all documentation meets regulatory requirements and industry standards, particularly under Part 135 operations.
  • Review and Edit Content: Edit and proofread documents to ensure clarity, consistency, and correctness.
  • Manage Document Control: Implement and maintain document control processes to ensure timely updates and distribution of materials.
  • Develop Training Materials: Create training guides, quick reference materials, and other educational content to support operational training programs.
  • Support Digital Transformation: Assist in the digitalization of manuals and technical content for use in electronic formats and on various devices.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Aviation, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the aviation industry or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Part 135 operations and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and technical writing tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
