Inside Sales Representative  (Warehouse Role)

As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for providing a professional service to customers, with a view to continually improve the customer experience. This includes: monitoring and maintaining local warehouse inventory.

Processing and managing orders and returns in an accurate and timely manner; face to face customer sales and interactions; phone customer sales and interactions. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional service to customers, focusing on continually improving the customer experience. This includes monitoring and maintaining local warehouse inventory.
  • Process and manage orders and returns accurately and in a timely manner, both face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Handle general customer phone queries promptly and professionally.
  • Perform front counter sales and address customer inquiries with a helpful and friendly attitude.
  • Pick and dispatch customer orders accurately and promptly, including managing freight consignment notes.
  • Manage local inventory, including performing cycle counts, stocktakes, and organising internal branch stock transfers.
  • Maintain a clear, safe, and organised warehouse environment, following company health and safety protocols and ISC guidelines.
  • Work with the Returns team to manage customer RMA returns, ensuring goods are processed and returned to stock or the appropriate department as needed.
  • Provide quotations for standard items as required, liaising with customers regarding pricing and order processing.
  • Complete general office duties, including filing picking slips and customer orders in a timely manner, and assisting with ad hoc office tasks when required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or inside sales role, preferably within a warehouse environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and courteous manner.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and inventory management.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Forklift certification and experience preferred for warehouse-related tasks.
