Job Summary

Cirrus instructor pilots instruct, operate, and pioneer the world in aviation training in the industrys leading personal aircraft, the SR-20, SR-22, SR-22T and SF50 Vision Jet™.

Our flight instructors provide transition training for SR-20, 22 and 22T aircraft owners as they take delivery of their aircraft. Additionally, Factory Flight Instructors provide flight and ground training for company pilots.

Our flight instructors also provide industry-leading, learner-centric flight training for the achievement of private pilot certificates, instrument ratings, advanced pilot certifications and ratings. To meet the demands of discerning customers who look for the absolute best, training is provided in iconic Cirrus Aircraft. Training follows a structured syllabus with proprietary course material for streamlined training to support the learning process.

Cirrus instructor pilots will also serve as pilot in command through other responsibilities including flying to every corner of the United States, as well as dozens of international destinations, acting as pilot in command of Cirrus Vision SF50 Jet and SR series piston aircraft while performing CFR 14 Part 91 corporate flight operations, demonstration flights, ferry flights, internal flight training and evaluation flights. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are required.

Our instructors act as the face of the company in several different capacities while delivering the highest quality of flight instruction possible. The ability to cater instructing methods to a variety of student types and personalities is a must.

Preferred Education, Experience or License:

Flight Instructor II

  • Current and active FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI and CFII) required
  • Current 1st or 2nd Class FAA Medical required
  • 350 total instruction hours or 250 Cirrus instruction hours required
  • Cirrus experience preferred
  • IFR in congested airspace, mountain flying, extensive IMC, and night experience preferred

Flight Instructor III

  • Current and active FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI and CFII) required
  • Current 1st or 2nd Class FAA Medical required
  • 750 total instruction hours or 500 Cirrus instruction hours required
  • IFR in congested airspace, mountain flying, extensive IMC, international flight, and night experience preferred
  • 350 hours Cirrus Aircraft experience preferred
  • Hold CSIP or equivalent preferred
