Contract Simulator (SIM) Instructor is available in Columbus, OH. The Contract SIM Instructor will provide classroom and simulator training to support Part 135 and Part 142 operations. This will include training program development, simulator support, and ground instruction for Company INDOC, as well as aircraft systems training.

Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver training as per the training syllabi, plans of actions (POAs), Training Memos, direction of the Director of Training
- Act as Check Pilot and or Aircrew Program Designee (if required)
When facilitating and or training, Create a environment for learning
Develop & maintain training material for training programs
Print, maintain and distribute training material, handouts, documentation for students
Present classroom instruction for pilots on any training courses within Vista America
Continuously monitor and evaluate programs to determine efficacy; administer performance and written tests in a fair, objective manner as needed
Complete training records within 48 hours of the training/checking event
Maintain familiarity and knowledge of new concepts and innovations, changes in regulations, procedures and improvements concerning the safe operations of training aircraft; maintain full knowledge of all applicable policies, procedures, manuals handbooks and protocol
If instructing / checking in the simulator, must maintain all simulator instructor /check pilot currency requirements under part 135 or part 142 as appropriate to the course you are required to teach
Give feedback and recommendations on training material and trainees progress
Arrive to class with enough time to be prepared to instruct, with appropriate training materials ready, and to start the classroom, briefing, or simulator session on-time per the schedule
Adhere to a professional appearance in business casual attire (or uniform if required)
Set up course materials as needed
Abide by any/all FAA part 135 or part 142 training requirements
Teach the intended curriculums as assigned
Schedule – either 15/13, or Mon-Fri with occasional weekend work, or as determined by the Director of Training
Required Skills and Experience:
Obtain and maintain an appropriate aviation medical certificate (if required)
ATP certification.
Maintain all Check Pilot & Aircrew Program Designee currency requirements (if required)
PIC Type Rating Certification of the Aircraft type selected for.
Successful completion of Vista America provided instructor training.
Maintain an appropriate aviation medical certificate
Professional behavior.
Have held CFI, MEII qualification (or equivalent, Check Pilot, TCE, IP ie TRI, TRE)
o 6 months delivering training experience or
o +150 hrs aircraft or simulator training given
