Job Title: Production Painter (2nd Shift)

Location: Beltsville, MD 20705
Shift Hours: Monday / Friday – 2nd Shift / 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM (6 month contract position to start)
Pay Rate: 23 – 34/hr depending on experience

Job Summary
The Manufacturing Painter will be responsible for applying protective or decorative coatings to parts, assemblies, and finished products. This includes using a spray gun, brush, or roller to ensure all surfaces are coated as required. The role also includes processing parts through a chemical etch line prior to surface finishing and adhering to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Apply paint, varnish, enamel, lacquer, dope, or stain using a spray gun to coat surfaces on parts, assemblies, and products.
Mix and select the appropriate coating material for the job.
Use brushes or rollers to coat areas that are not accessible by a spray gun.
Process parts through the chemical etch line prior to finishing.
Monitor and verify the quality of coating in line with statistical process or other control procedures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
At least 5 years of recent experience in manufacturing painting.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Familiarity with quality control processes in a manufacturing setting.

Preferred Skills

Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy.
Knowledge of various coating materials and application techniques.

Pay Details: $23.00 to $34.00 per hour
