Job Summary:

Assist in all phases of aircraft painting with limited supervision, participating in masking, stripping, sanding, and preparing aircraft for paint.

Essential Job Functions:

• Mask aircraft for stripper application
• Apply, agitate, and wash stripper off aircraft
• Hand clean and sand in preparation for etch and Alodine
• Apply etch and alodine to aircraft and rinse
• Remove and reapply seam seal as required
• Mask and prepare aircraft for primer application
• Sand primer for topcoat application
• Prepare aircraft for topcoat application
• Mask, prepare, and paint stripes as needed
• De-mask aircraft
• Polish and detail exterior paint
• Lead aircraft projects under supervisors direction
• Assist with training junior technicians

• Read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
• Visual acuity correctable to 20/20
• Work in precarious places, heights, noisy environments
• Ability to wear PPE

Other:

• Attain and retain AOA badge or airport requirements
• Regular attendance required
• Occasional overnight and short-notice travel
• Ability to work various shifts and overtime

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in aircraft painting required
