Job Duties:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying masking materials
- Mix and match paint colours to achieve desired shades
- Apply paint using various techniques such as spraying, brushing, and rolling
- Ensure even coverage and smooth finish on painted surfaces
- Inspect finished work for quality and make any necessary touch-ups
- Maintain painting equipment and tools
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a paint sprayer in the aerospace or engineering industry
- Knowledge of different types of paints, coatings, and application methods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and precision in work
Education:
Relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in painting and decorating
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of health and safety regulations related to painting
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in paint application techniques
- Experience working with specialised aerospace coatings
