Position Summary
We are seeking experienced Aircraft Painters to support aircraft strip, prep, prime, and paint operations in a high-volume aviation maintenance environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working on commercial, military, or corporate aircraft and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Perform aircraft surface preparation, including washing, stripping, sanding, masking, and sealing
Apply primer, topcoat, and specialty coatings per engineering specifications and work instructions
Mix and apply paints using HVLP, conventional spray equipment, and other approved methods
Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and technical instructions
Inspect painted surfaces for defects and perform touch-ups as required
Maintain proper documentation and comply with FAA, OSHA, and company safety standards
Properly handle hazardous materials and dispose of waste according to regulations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Work collaboratively with leads, inspectors, and other shop personnel
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1–3 years of aircraft painting experience (commercial, military, or corporate aircraft)
Experience with aircraft stripping, priming, and topcoat application
Familiarity with paint systems, sealants, and surface prep techniques
Ability to work from lifts, stands, and scaffolding
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts as needed
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Preferred Qualifications
Experience painting large aircraft (Boeing, Airbus, military platforms)
Knowledge of corrosion control and composite surface preparation
Prior experience in an FAA-regulated environment
Respirator qualified (or able to qualify)
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights
