Subject Matter Expert (Hybrid)

Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a Subject Matter Expert in O’Fallon, IL.  In this position you will be supporting the Mobility Enterprise Information Services (MEIS) which provides net-centric services as an enabler for new, modernized and current Mobility Air Force (MAF) command and control applications and capabilities supporting the U.S. Transportation Command and Air Mobility Command global mission. The Mobility Enterprise Information Services framework is a structure providing reusable common platform and information technology services, software products and components, and design patterns allowing for deployment into a common shared environment. As a sub-enterprise focused on the MAF beneath USTRANSCOM, this framework is an integral part of USTRANSCOMs overall service-oriented architecture strategy.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs research and analysis on processes, applications, systems and data to identify functional requirements for application or system design. Consults with customers to clarify and refine requirements. Interprets and translates requirements into functional specifications. Develops and executes tests to validate system functionality against specifications.
  • Knowledgeable of how the business and organization operates; knowledgeable of policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the business and organization.
  • Clearly conveys information and ideas to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.
  • Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area. This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.
  • Provide products and services that meet the highest technical and quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies and processes and embrace first-time quality as a way of life – not accepting, creating or passing any defects and speaking up.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional analysis and evaluation and with the preparation of recommendations for system improvements.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • USTRANSCOM and/or Air Mobility Command domain experience.
  • Experience performing process reengineering, including change management, business analysis management and techniques, cost benefit analysis, activity and data modeling, information systems development methods and practices, and training.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master&43;3 years related work experience, 9 years related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualification, as well as market and business considerations.  Summary base pay range $82,000 - $98,500
