A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a SHE Associate to join the team with our prestigious client at their site in Barrow In Furness, this is a hybrid role on-site requirements are 3 days per week

The role will be responsible for providing competent SHE advice, systems and assurance for multiple business areas or site(s).
The role will support the development and/or implementation of the Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) policy, systems and objectives for a business area or site(s).

Core Duties

Support the development, maintenance and/or deployment of a SHE management rovide competent SHE advice and support to Line Leaders within multiple business areas or site(s), enabling them to effectively manage SHE within their area(s) of responsibility.
Support activities associated with improving SHE practice and performance within multiple business areas or site(s) ,
Support the development and implementation of innovative SHE change programmes, ensuring consistency and effective improvement in SHE risk management and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and the sharing of best practices.
Collaborate with key stakeholders, engaging with them to appropriately consider SHE factors during decision making.
Provide assurance for determining compliance with relevant legal,
Deliver duties to appropriate timescales and to budget.
Monitor the effectiveness, and provide regular reports, on all of the above to relevant stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications

The role holder will be required to have the competencies outlined in the competency framework descriptors which can be found on the Safety, Health & Environment Developing You (SHEDY) intranet site which can be found here. In summary the job holder will require the following to be successful:
Knowledge:
The role holder is required to hold a good understanding of safety, health and environmental management standards and practice, and relevant BAE Systems processes and procedures and are able to use their knowledge to articulate these within their work area.
The role requires a good understanding of how to work with others in order to operationalise, integrate and deliver SHE processes, projects and change in a business, through having an good knowledge of the business or site(s) which they support, a contemporary view of their deliverables and aims, the challenges they face, the developments which they are planning and enacting.
A role requires a good level of SHE knowledge, typically working to standardised SHE procedures.

Recognising the restricted nature of the work  there is a requirement for the candidate to be eligible to obtain Security Clearance for this role.
