Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager, Planning, the Planning Coordinator will perform a variety of tactical duties to support the Production Planning team with planning activities. This a contract position for approximately four (4) months.



 



As a Planning Coordinator, your main responsibilities will include (but not limited to):




  • Develop and implement MRP to ensure on time delivery to customers

  • Track material from requisition to receipt of goods and prepares material status reports

  • Track work orders on the floor and prepare Work in Progress status reports

  • Attend material/production review meetings

  • Raise, release, and maintain work orders




  • Re-plan activities as a result of schedule/material changes

  • Return materials to customers to ensure turnaround of Non-Compliance Reports in a timely manner

  • Interface between Programs and Manufacturing



 



What you require to be successful in the role:




  • Enrolled in Business Administration or Supply Chain and Operations Management program at a recognized post-secondary institution or previously obtained educational credentials.

  • Hands-on experience in prior internships or work experience would be considered an asset




  • Active involvement in or completion of APICS certification would be considered an asset

  • Thorough knowledge of MRP is essential

  • Understands and applies knowledge of product structures, configuration control, contracts terminology and ISO procedures

  • Effective computer skills including MS Excel and Access are an asset

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to complete standard reports
