Job Title: Lawn Maintenance
Department: 78-Powerplant Division
Position Type: Full Time (40 hours per week), Seasonal
Reports to: Powerplant Division Building Maintenance Supervisor
Position Purpose:
Lawn Maintenance performs regular grounds and landscape maintenance by mowing lawns with riding or push mowers; trimming and edging around trees, shrubs, ground cover, flowers, sidewalks, fencing and buildings; weeding, thinning and cleaning flowerbeds and other grounds by hand or utilizing proper tools and equipment.
Position Description:
- Mowing grass
- Weed control
- Parking lot care
- Trash clean up on facility grounds and fence lines
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Building Maintenance Supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid US driver’s license.
- Must be available for flexible hours and weekends.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must have a positive and professional attitude and work well with others.
- Good attendance required.
- Use of PPE as required.
Language Skills:
- Must have the ability to read, write and understand spoken English.
- Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must have the ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Work will be performed primarily in an outside environment. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
