Salary: $80,000 - $106,000 DOE
Position Summary
The International Trade Compliance Official (ITCO) is responsible for managing Tactical Air's export compliance program, obtaining all applicable registrations, licenses, exemptions/exceptions, executing the export license, obtaining amendments when necessary, and closing out the license once complete. This position will support Tactical Air Support and all subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute Trade Compliance Program: AECA Export Control, DoS DDTC Registration & Licensing, DoC BIS Export Licensing, ATF FFL, Tax Renewal, and Export/Import Licensing, plus Freight Forwarder and Customs Broker interaction.
- Maintain all export control documentation for registration, licensing, exemptions/exceptions, and assist Program Managers and General Managers to ensure licensing quantity, value, and time are not exceeded.
- Knowledge of shipping carriers, and export and import terms and conditions.
- Work with and collaborate with Logistics and Tactical Air Logistics Network-Parts (TALON) personnel to assist in inventory management, inventory system record-keeping, and conduct Order of Reviews.
- Engage across all Tactical Air business units/segments and subsidiaries, to conduct international trade compliance functions.
- Ensure compliance with federal and international trade compliance regulations.
- Conduct professional training for various groups of aircrews.
- Assist in maintaining, improving, and operationalizing the export compliance program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or High School diploma/GED with 6+ years of equivalent combination of training, education, and experience in Export Compliance and International Trade of Arms Regulations.
- Three+ years of experience as an Export Control Official.
- Proficient in the Arms Export Control Act, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and other applicable Federal export control regulations.
- Able to complete Export Licensing, FMS requirements, TPT requirements, and Exemptions.
- Experience monitoring and executing domestic transfers due to FMS and SME requirements including on-time submission of Blue Lantern Reports as required.
- High proficiency with MS Office Suite, preferably with Smartsheet, DECCS, SNAP-R, BATF eForms, and other web portals.
- Valid state driver's license.
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain an active and current DoD SECRET security clearance.
Desired Experience/Skills
- Experienced with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and Foreign ownership, control, or influence (FOCI) requirements and implementing controls.
- Certified Export Compliance Professional (CECP)
- Experience as Customs Broker.
Physical Demands
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds (with assistance, if required).
- Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls; reaching with hands and arms.
- Regularly ascend/descend stairs and/or ladders.
Work Authorization and Environment
- Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.
- Tactical Air Support is a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace. Pre-employment, random, or for cause drug/alcohol testing (including for marijuana) is required.
- Pre-employment and ongoing physical certifications are required.
- Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.
- May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous materials.
- Specific work hours are determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements.
- Occasional evening, weekend, holiday & overtime work may be required.
- Occasional travel to various domestic work sites may be required.
