Position Summary
As an IT Co-Op candidate you will assist in helpdesk functions to support most areas of InformationTechnology’s (IT) responsibility. The candidate will need to complete setups, troubleshoot and resolve problems withhardware/software for desktop/laptops/printers, as well as, upgrade software/hardware. Utilize helpdesk systems to address open help requests, interact with end users, problem solve and disposition.-Focus on WebFocus conversions and PowerBI Development.The candidate must be a motivated, self-starter with a good foundation in the basic principles ofcomputer science, as demonstrated by their course work and/or extra-curricular activities. Course workor experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: computer and communicationtechnology, computer security, networks, databases and hardware.An individual must be detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects. Must have goodorganizational, communication, interpersonal, analytical, skills. Needs to be punctual.This is a paid full-time Co-Op. 40 hours a week with flexibility in schedule to continue college studies.
Responsibilities
•Setup, deploy, troubleshoot and resolve desktop/laptop, printers, PC Software and telecom issues.•Configure new software, Upgrade OS software, etc.•Utilize help desk system to address day to day user requests•Follow safety procedures on shop floor and maintain a safe work area
Qualifications
The successful candidate must be currently enrolled in a four year college working towards a bachelordegree in Computer Science or Business. Completion of sophomore year of college with a minimumcumulative GPA of 3.0. Must have Microsoft Office and Microsoft OS knowledge and experience with desktop/laptop hardware.
