Hotel Payable Clerk (12 Month Contract)

Job Description:
Under Sunwing Vacations, we are looking for a Hotel Payable Clerk to join us in making vacation dreams come true. As the Hotel Payable Clerk, you will review and process hotel and transfer invoices in a timely manner and to the specification of the hotel/transfer contract. You will meet deadlines as stated on each hotel contract and maintain a good working relationship with hoteliers. The position reports to the Hotels Payable Supervisor and will be located in Toronto, ON.
What You’ll Do:
- Review bookings and ensure correct costs are entered.
- Process payments accordingly.
- Any variance is identified and communicated to supplier.
- Communicates to suppliers with payment information.
- Direct contact for any inquiry for payment or invoice.
- Exchange conversion based on the rates provided by Treasury.
- Ensure deductions are made appropriately.
- Enter wire payments on the banking platform.
- Reconcile accounts and report findings back to the hotels using excel.
- Review each booking the hotel states are still outstanding or payment not made as per the hotel invoice and report back to the hotels.
What You’ll Need:
- 1-3 years of related work experience
- Fast learner and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent computer skills & MS office experience in accounting packages
- Good communication skills both in oral and written form
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as an active team member
- Demonstrate sound work ethics complimented with flexible work attitude.
