We are currently seeking a full-time HVAC Technician to join our Equipment Repairs & Maintenance team. In this role, you will work on various projects and work orders in a manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with skilled professionals, leverage advanced technologies, and contribute to the success of Raytheon ELCAN.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems, including boilers, chillers, air handlers, pumps, and rooftop units.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration issues.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable acts, regulations, legislation, and codes to maintain personal and public safety.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and equipment specifications.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Collaborate with the Facilities & Maintenance Team on projects and work orders.
- Maintain detailed service records and reports.
- Identify and recommend efficiency improvements to optimize system performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in HVAC Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid Gas Technician (G1 or G2) License
- 313A or 313D Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic Certification is an asset.
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS) is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with refrigerant handling procedures and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication.

This position involves technologies regulated by the Canadian government’s Controlled Goods Program and the Contract Security Program. In order to obtain the required security clearance, candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada, have resided in Canada for a minimum of five consecutive years, and meet all other program requirements.
