Job Summary:
As an Estimator II at Kawneer, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for accurately reviewing and entering customer requests for pricing into our system. Your role will be central to maintaining effective communication with customers, overseeing order pursuit activities, and engaging in project negotiations. Your keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills will ensure that quotes are returned to customers accurately and on time, helping the Order Pursuit Team meet revenue targets.
In this role, you will:
- Prepares cost estimations for projects and construction plans using customer supplied lists, customer elevations, and architectural plans.
- Provides exceptional customer service for Kawneer’s clients.
- Consults with internal teams, clients, sales reps, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- For example, quote follow-ups, order changes, product related issues, and customer claims.
- Be a point-of-contact on phone inquiries with expectation of 100 response and customer assistance without frequently forwarding calls to other front-end employees.

- Experience with KaluCAD and JD Edwards is a bonus.
- Ability to visualize design concepts from Architectural Plans.
- Negotiating experience.
- Ability to calculate engineering loads on single and double window spans.
- Previous experience providing cost estimate for Curtain Wall/Window Wall products is a bonus.

You have: (required)
- High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited educational institution.
- 2-5 years of experience in the Construction Industry (estimating, drafting, project management, etc.).
