Job Title: Electrical Technician & Controls Technician
Job Description
As an Electrical Technician & Controls Technician, you will be responsible for installing and terminating wiring to pad instrumentation and data acquisition systems. Your expertise will be crucial in performing continuity checks, locating and correcting wiring errors using measuring instruments. You will work collaboratively with design engineers to troubleshoot failures, and you will lead complex projects with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities
- Install connectors, connector pins, terminals, and lugs.
- Perform continuity checks, locate and correct wiring errors using instruments such as ohmmeters and voltage calibrators.
- Support fellow technicians and engineers using shop assembly equipment and hand tools.
- Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot issues derived from test data.
- Write, create, and organize work planning documents and instructions.
- Generate purchase orders from vendor quotes.
- Lead complex and mentally taxing projects with little to no oversight.
- Install and modify electrical conveyances, including conduit and cable tray.
- Build intricate and complex cable assemblies using Mil-C connectors and contacts.
- Troubleshoot AC power distribution equipment up to 480VAC.
- Build, terminate, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC-based manufacturing hardware.
- Fabricate support structures, enclosures, and conveyances for electrical distribution equipment.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 1+ years of professional experience with instrumentation such as transducers, accelerometers, or thermocouples.
- Understanding of basic direct current electrical theory.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate degree in Aerospace Technology or another technical field is preferred.
- 2+ years of professional, hands-on experience with launch site instrumentation.
- Experience with ISO 9000, IPC-620, and ICP-610 standards.
- Quality inspection experience with harnessing and cables.
- Experience with NI, Step 7, Studio 5000.
- Proficient with power tools and hand tools.
- Ability to design and fabricate simple electrical circuits.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cape Canaveral, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
