STS Aviation Group is seeking a dedicated Dock Manager for our facility in Jensen Beach, Florida. As the Dock Manager, you’ll be the main point of contact for slip renters and marina inquiries, ensuring smooth communication, efficient dock maintenance, and a clean, welcoming environment. This hands-on role involves managing the upkeep of docks and marina facilities, as well as performing light maintenance tasks in and around the office. Key Responsibilities
- Slip Management: Communicate with slip renters, answer inquiries, and manage the rental process to ensure a positive experience for all marina tenants.
- Dock and Grounds Maintenance: Perform regular cleaning and maintenance on docks and lifts, including pressure washing, debris removal, and routine equipment checks.
- Light Facility Maintenance: Conduct minor repairs such as replacing light fixtures, unclogging pipes, and changing air filters to maintain the facility.
- Janitorial Duties: Keep building interiors clean and organized, maintain a well-stocked janitor’s room, and manage waste disposal on the grounds and parking lot.
- General Groundskeeping: Maintain neat, clean surroundings by removing debris from parking lots and docks and cleaning windows and common areas as needed.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety hazards and correct handling of cleaning and sanitizing products.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to keep docks and office areas clean and well-organized.
- Maintenance Skills: Capable of performing basic repairs and operating maintenance tools and equipment.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to interact professionally with slip tenants, staff, and visitors.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in maintenance, groundskeeping, or marina operations is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Mobility: Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and engage in physical activities such as bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching.
- Lifting: Able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
