Accountabilities:

Representation of Procurement Operations Cabin as the empowered point of contact for all operational issues related to cabin furnishing. Ensure full transparency on equipment availability and on equipment quality.

Main activities:

  • Be responsible for the deliverables of Procurement Operations Cabin i.e. responsible for the on time and on quality of cabin equipment and materials.
  • Ensure the closure of all quality non-conformities in the given timeframe.
  • Validate quality non-conformity liability and validate associated invoices once agreed for the supplier he is allocated.
  • Ensure operational reactivity of on-side-support teams.
  • Monitoring & provide on dock dates /status reporting to FAL. Trigger risk management & mitigation action which are delivered by our POC Supply Chain Quality Managers.
  • Identify areas of improvement and feed-back to FAL to reduce the non-quality costs.
  • Analysis of recurring quality issues as initial point of the Quality Closed Loop to suppliers, in close cooperation with the Line Side Support teams of FAL and Quality, including handover of problem description and analysis to Airbus Supply chain & Quality Operations Managers for root-cause eradication.
  • Prioritization of supplier activities in line with FAL milestones.
  • Support the Procurement functions for the preparation and on request participation in relevant meeting.

Outputs:

  • Manage the immediate risk mitigation, setting of priorities and triggering of corrective actions/recovery plans to avoid disturbances in the AIRBUS industrial processes and to facilitate reliable Airbus planning.
  • Ensure validation of NC liability for jointly agreed suppliers and run the Rework Cost Validation process to review and validate Airbus and supplier claims.
  • Manage Supplier relations to ensure On Site Support (OSS) operation guaranteeing reactivity and fast closure of NCs and outstanding works, in line with AIRBUS industrial requirements and applicable procedures.
  • Develop and Manage the application of LEAN / AOS methods along the complete value stream for the final customer to accomplish the continuous improvement required to reduce cost of non-quality and to achieve operational excellence in the process.

Input:
  • Bachelor’s degree or training in a technical school/program in aeronautics or business with focus on procurement
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English
  • Intermediate knowledge of SAP and MS Office
  • 3-5 years of experiences in (cabin) procurement and/or related fields of supply chain and quality
  • Demonstrably effective communication skills including persuasion and influencing skills
  • Experience in establishing and cultivating relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to function as an effective member of an international team including flexibility and initiative
  • Proven skills as a problem-solver and a record of meeting deadlines and completing tasks on time, on budget and at an acceptable level of quality
  • Leadership, ability to function and to act as a team leader
  • Have good interpersonal skills, be able to negotiate and manage conflicts of interests
  • Have a strong sense of responsibilities and secure milestones
  • Awareness for goods, people safety and the environment
