Primary Job Duties

As a SkyWest Supervisor, you will be given the opportunity to lead by example, set a positive work atmosphere for your department, and promote our guiding principles.

 

  • Prioritize, oversee, and assign duties to mechanics and part technicians 
  • Prioritize workload at the local and regional levels. Review open work orders and ensure completion
  • Manages and prioritizes online maintenance requests 
  • Monitor work performed in the shop for accuracy and thoroughness. Assist mechanics as needed
  • Open work orders in fleet as needed. Review outstanding work orders in the region
  • Attend local hub/ramp meetings
  • Safety/Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance

Job Requirements:


  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a valid unrestricted state-issued driver’s license
  • High school diploma or completion of a GED
  • Pass a background check and drug screening
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Familiar with and be able to read and understand Company and Manufacturer Manuals 

Preferred:

  • Previous Supervisor/management experience
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications

Physical and Other Requirements

  • Able to comfortably lift 75 lbs. routinely with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Possible/minimal travel as needed-multiple day trips and overnights (Flying and Driving)
  • This is a full-time position, starting at $23 to $26 an hour depending on experience
