Northrop Grumman is seeking a dynamic, energetic individual for the position of Supply Chain Manager 2 to join our growing team of diverse professionals. This Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management, training, mentoring and career development of a team of Strategic Growth and Sourcing professionals.
The Strategic Growth and Sourcing Manager supports the GBMR (Global Battle Management and Readiness) Operations organization under the Advanced and Strategic Operations team. This key role is responsible for leading a group of direct reports that provides timely and effective supply chain/operations strategic support early in the business acquisition cycle for GBMR’s most strategic business captures. Additionally, the role is responsible for evaluating future Operations needs for the division and to implement strategies that close the gaps between current state and future state that enable business growth objectives. The selected candidate will be an excellent communicator with a strong business background and will be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels of management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Shape GBMR Division Strategic Captures and Proposals for Operational excellence
Own the Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relationship & Performance Management process for GBMR Operations
Implement long term strategies that enable operations to scale in support of business growth demands
Establishes and manages priorities in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment
Participates on major proposals and initiatives of strategic value for the division
Develops and effectivity communicates strategic plans to leadership
Develops, communicates Risk Management Plans, and then ensures execution
Makes decisions on operational issues within prescribed area and manages a staff of professional to include mentoring, training, staff development, and conducting performance reviews
Develops, plans, and implements agile processes that support established Defense Sector and GBMR Operations goals and objectives
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance, economics or other related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of directly related experience; Master’s degree in business, finance, supply chain, economics or other related discipline with a minimum of 8 years of directly related experience
Must have experience with defense proposals and working on key captures
Experience in a manufacturing environment and understanding of capacity analysis
Through knowledge of FAR/DFARS and other applicable government regulations
Ability to perform the required Strategic Capture, Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relationship and Performance Management activities for the GBMR Operations organization.
Ability to work as an integral member of the GBMR Operations team to achieve Global Supply Chain, Program and Defense Sector objectives, while maintaining full compliance during all stages of the proposal and acquisition process.
Ability to initiate and effectively implement process improvement across the breadth of Strategic Capture, Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relationship and Performance Management processes.
Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10 of the time)
Preferred Qualifications:
Working Knowledge of SAP
Professional Certifications: CPSM, CFCM, CPCM.
Understanding of the defense acquisition process
Salary Range: $131,800 - $197,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
