Collins Aerospace is seeking a hands-on, motivated Repair Maintenance Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of technicians responsible for the upkeep, support, and troubleshooting of production equipment related to product testing and mechanical processing.
This individual will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting a continuous improvement mindset across the shop floor.

Key responsibilities include optimizing and supporting manufacturing equipment across multiple production areas, with a focus on the following:
- Ensure timely support for equipment used in product testing (e.g., functional testers, leak testers, electrical testers) and mechanical processes (e.g., hydraulic or pneumatic presses, torquing equipment, CNC equipment)
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to prioritize and resolve equipment-related issues
- Implement and manage systems for tracking and managing test equipment assets, PM status, and repair history
- Manage the proper disposal or retirement of obsolete or damaged equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues; provide hands-on support when needed
- Negotiate and manage contractors with applicable vendors for equipment maintenance, repair, and calibration requirements.
- Lead and assist in the selection, purchase, and installation of new production equipment, ensuring process compatibility and cost effectiveness
- Maintain a storage solution system and process for necessary spares and other equipment components to ensure availability of backup components in the event of unplanned downtime or necessary equipment maintenance
- Supervise and train technicians and other staff involved in equipment maintenance, repairs, and turnround time
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any performance issues
- Manage the budget for equipment maintenance, repairs, and facility operations
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, downtime events, spare parts usage, and equipment history
- Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Monitor performance metrics (OEE, Uptime & etc.) and drive root cause investigations for recurring equipment issues
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures related to test equipment operation and maintenance
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, maintenance activities, and incidents
- Ensure production equipment is properly machine guarded per Collins Aerospace requirements
- Train technicians on new equipment, procedures, and safety protocols
- Recommend improvements to enhance reliability, maintainability, and safety of production equipment

Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
- Experience with test equipment functionality and use, maintenance procedures, and calibration techniques
- Experience in leading, motivating, and supervising a team of technicians
- Experience with ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems related to equipment and effectively provide support to meet and exceed the site equipment downtime reduction goals
- Experience with budgeting and financial management principles
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Degree in electrical/electronic field with 3-5 years of management experience, or 7-10 years of test equipment technician experience and 3 years of managing experience on the aerospace industry
- Experience with Vintage/Modern electronic device functionality (PLC, Temp Controllers, O2 Sensor, Rate Controllers, Single/Multiple Phase Power Supplies etc.)
- Software knowledge (Python, Raspberry Pi, Hexagon, SAP, Excel Macros, etc.)
- Process Improvement mentality (Six Sigma, CORE, ACE, etc.)
- Experience with complex industrial equipment functionality, aerospace test harness manufacturing, multi axis rate table equipment, troubleshooting and repairs
- Experience with PID parameters pertaining to temperature controls

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
