Senior Rostering Officer
Job Description:

18 months fixed-term contract opportunity.

easyJet is big, really big. We’re the second largest airline in Europe, and we have more flying slots than any other in the world. With that scale comes opportunity – opportunity to quickly progress, diversify your career, and to see the impact of your work on a wider scale. So much so, it’s said that one year at easyJet is worth three elsewhere – that’s ‘Orange Years’ and why joining us is so much more than a job, it’s a career full of variety and possibility.

We are seeking a Senior Rostering Officer to join our Operational Planning department on an 18 month fixed-term contract.

What you’ll be doing:

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all crew rosters are safe, legal, and cost-effective, adhering strictly to company regulations, guidelines, and industrial agreements. Your duties will include maintaining crew rosters in the live environment up until they are handed over to the Integrated Crew Control (ICC), as well as ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of internal Roster Quality checklists. You will be tasked with meeting internal roster publication deadlines and maintaining effective communication within the crew supply chain to manage training, leave, and status commitments. Additionally, you will coordinate the timely delivery of AIMS data packages to IBS for optimised roster production and undertake regular post-production analysis to measure roster performance against established metrics. Regular quality control checks, audits of manuals and procedures, and the planning and delivery of training associated with new agreements or projects will also fall under your remit. You will ensure the availability of the required crew in relation to the agreed standby plans and coordinate the daily activities of Rostering officers, prioritising tasks as instructed by the Rostering Manager. You will act as on-call during roster production periods and handle any ad hoc work or projects needed to support the Rostering Manager, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the rostering department.

Job Requirements:

What you’ll need to do the role

To excel in this role, you will need to be a capable leader with the ability to motivate a team to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. As a team player, you should be open to challenging ideas in a positive and constructive manner to enhance the quality of the Roster Product. You must possess a questioning mind that can interpret crew rosters critically, identifying areas for quality enhancement and potential improvements. A strong customer focus and a demonstrable commitment to delivering top-notch customer service are essential. You should have a detailed understanding of the AIMS Crew Tracking system and associated reporting tools, gained through practical experience in an operational environment. Expertise in Excel and data management is crucial, including the use of advanced Excel features and data bricks for analysing complex data scenarios. You will need the ability to read, review, and understand crew, rostering, and union protocols with accuracy and attention to detail in every task. Knowledge of EASA, Fatigue Risk Management, and other national crew compliance regulations is required. Experience in a supply chain role, particularly within an airline environment, though not essential, is highly desirable. Operational airline experience, likely obtained from a period working in Crewing/Operations or a similar airline crew role, is important. Additionally, you should have at least three years of planning experience actively building rosters or plans within a complex planning department of 200 individuals using Optimisation/AI software.

>       25 days holiday

>       BAYE, SAYE & Performance share schemes

>       5% pension

>       Life Assurance
