Comlux Aviation is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Procurement Manager to lead and manage the procurement function in our Malta office. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in procurement management, with a strong understanding of high-value contract negotiations, supplier relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration in aviation or similar high-demand industries. This role will be responsible for overseeing the entire procurement process, ensuring the timely acquisition of quality products and services, while aligning with Comluxs strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

• Procurement Leadership: Lead and manage the procurement process for all of Comlux Aviation’s needs across various functions, including but not limited to engineering, operations, and finance.
• Contract Management: Review, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations. Maintain a strong focus on cost control, compliance, and risk management.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers, ensuring quality performance, reliability, and alignment with Comlux’s business needs.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders including Engineering, Operations, Finance, and all other functions to align procurement strategy with organizational objectives.
• Strategic Procurement: Develop procurement strategies to ensure the company gets the best value, leveraging market insights and trends. Identify opportunities for improvement in processes, cost efficiency, and supplier performance.
• Senior-Level Representation: Serve as the face of procurement to top-level stakeholders, representing Comlux in high-value negotiations and ensuring the company’s interests are well-represented in all agreements.
• Process Improvement: Continuously assess and optimize the procurement processes to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  
• P2P System Ownership: Take full ownership of the procurement-related aspects of the new Procure-to-Pay (P2P) system, ensuring seamless integration with procurement processes and alignment with operational needs.
• Implementation Leadership: Lead the end-to-end implementation of the procurement module within the P2P system, working closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and effective roll-out.
• Continuous Improvement: Act as a key contributor to continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging the P2P system to enhance procurement efficiency, compliance, and visibility across the organization.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in a high-value, high-complexity environment such as aviation, engineering, or product based industries. Proven experience working within organizations that have established, structured procurement practices. Background in navigating and contributing to procurement processes in well-governed, policy-driven environments, ideally within structured corporate or group settings.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong industry knowledge in aviation procurement, including understanding of supplier management, aviation regulations, and contract negotiations.
• Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of successfully negotiating high-value contracts, managing supplier disputes, and achieving cost savings without compromising on quality.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Experience working with multiple departments (e.g., engineering, operations, finance) and collaborating with senior management.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on finding innovative solutions to procurement challenges.
• Leadership: Ability to lead and manage the procurement process while mentoring and influencing other team members across departments.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional procurement certifications (e.g., CIPS) is a plus.
