THE WORK
As a Continuous Improvement Project Lead within Sikorsky Assembly and Flight Operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, lead, and execute high-impact initiatives that enhance productivity, streamline processes, and improve quality across our manufacturing and assembly operations.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement data-driven solutions that align with organizational goals. You will leverage Lean, Six Sigma, and other industry best practices to develop and execute strategies that deliver measurable results.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading and managing continuous improvement projects from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
• Conducting in-depth process analyses to identify opportunities for cost reduction, waste elimination, and operational efficiency.
• Facilitating cross-functional collaboration to drive process standardization and best practice sharing across Assembly and Flight Operations.
• Monitoring and reporting on project progress, key performance indicators, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership.
• Driving a data-driven approach to problem-solving, utilizing tools such as value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and statistical process control.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3+ years of professional experience.

• Familiar with Lean-Six Sigma Principles and/or holds a Lean‑Six Sigma Green Belt

• Familiar with databases, data mining, and data analytics
Desired Skills:
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills coupled with being a team player

• Strong foundation in lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Experience facilitating kaizen events and improvement workshops.

• Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

• Familiar with SAP, Solumina, JIRA, & Tableau Dashboards

• Ability to influence without authority and drive change across all levels.

• Comfort working with data and translating insights into action.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
