Join our Business Aviation Training Centres in Burgess Hill (West Sussex) or Vienna, Austria as Regional Human Resources Manager where you will contribute to shaping a positive employee culture, developing and implementing the regional HR strategy aligned with business goals and building and maintaining a strong local and regional employer brand.

The role we are offering you:

This role will provide HR leadership, and strategic partnership to the Vice President EMEAA, Business Aviation and Helicopter Aviation Training and their teams. In addition, it will align with the HR teams within the region and leverage the global HR network to drive the regional strategy and offer support to the global HR organization. You will report directly to the Global Director of Human Resources for Business Aviation, Helicopter Aviation and Maintenance Training.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to a team of HR professionals to ensure the effective delivery of HR services while optimizing the HR service delivery across the region.
  • Create trust, maintain confidentiality, and influence leaders and colleagues across the organization to accept recommendations and programs where there may be little interest in cooperating or participating.
  • Develop and deploy the HR strategy for the region as well as execution of the global HR mandate that drives business results through people.
  • Assess current talent & anticipate future talent needs and organizational design, performance management, and sourcing strategies to drive the talent agenda.
  • Review HR processes and policies regarding current legislation, business needs, effectiveness & (cost) efficiency as well as potential for alignment and shared services across training centers within the region

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has proven experience as an HR Manager with strong leadership skills in communication, collaboration, problem-solving, decision-making, strategic and critical thinking. Experience required (10 + years u2013 ideally supporting multi-site locations in a matrix environment and 5 years Human Resources Management and Leadership experience)
  • Has strong knowledge and experience in country specific employment law and HR practices in the UK and Austria (Asia would be a bonus)
  • Holds experience partnering with and influencing senior leaders including Executives.
  • Has a passion for results; constantly thinking of ways to positively impact the business in an ethical and integrity-based manner.
  • Uses and analyses data and metrics to make fact-based decisions which positively impact the business.
  • Holds a University Degree (preferably Human Resources or Management). MBA and/or CIPD accredited as an asset.
  • Can demonstrate successful management of multiple projects and ability to complete competing priorities quickly while balancing the needs for quality.
  • Has encountered a variety of complicated situations outside of standard policies requiring the regular use of ingenuity, innovation and decisiveness.

Contract details & location

The position offers hybrid working and can be based at our Business Aviation Training Centres in Burgess Hill, West Sussex or Vienna, Austria. We are offering a full-time and permanent contract. The working hours of the role are Monday to Friday, 39 hours a week. This role requires travel of up to 30.
