Job Description:

We are looking for a highly experienced and knowledgeable Quality Manager, Journeyman to coordinate with Government and Contractor senior management to maintain Quality Assurance and safety programs in accordance with policies, processes, procedures, and controls. The successful candidate will manage Contractor Aircraft Quality Control Inspectors and oversee the quality and safety programs to ensure compliance under the contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Government and Contractor senior management to maintain Quality Assurance and safety programs.
  • Manage Contractor Aircraft Quality Control Inspectors.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and safety programs under the contract.
  • Conduct quality and safety inspections/audits of contract operations and sub-contractors.
  • Develop Quality Assurance/Safety/Hazardous Waste programs, manuals, and revisions.
  • Conduct research, develop corrective action alternatives, and track responses for problem areas identified in internal and customer audit findings.
  • Act as a direct representative to the local Navy point of contact.
  • Monitor the weight and balance, FOD, Calibration, nondestructive testing, corrosion prevention, tool control, and ground safety programs.
  • Manage the inspection branch, including inspection requirements, trend analysis, technical order publication library, maintenance training programs, and functional check flight programs.
  • Provide guidance and direction to achieve compliance with all applicable safety and quality standards.
  • Provide leadership and knowledge to staff members and teams as necessary.
  • Develop staff and methodology to fulfill duties and communicate program metrics as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and disseminate safety-related bulletins, technical changes, and literature to work site personnel.
  • Investigate mishaps and injuries.
  • Oversee Technical Library.
  • Ensure compliance with company programs, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and Government directives.
  • Ensure Airworthiness Directive compliance and aircraft configuration.
  • Ensure modification and maintenance activities are conducted utilizing applicable documents.
  • Monitor quality deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Report directly to the Group Manager.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Management discipline.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience in any combination of the following areas: Quality Assurance/Improvement, ISO-9000, and/or Safety and Environmental Compliance.
  • Two (2) years of management experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of project planning.
  • Proven leadership and management ability.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management, concepts, techniques, tools, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of aircraft logs and records.
  • Sufficient knowledge and experience to effectively assume responsibility for the overall quality of the Contractor’s maintenance effort in accordance with NAVAIRINST 3710.1 and CNAFINST 4790.2 series.

Additional Information:

  • Must possess a TOP SECRET clearance with Yankee White access.
  • This position is contingent on contract award.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,895.41 - $90,745.01 per year
