GAL Aviation Inc. is a Start-to-Finish manufacturer of aircraft interior cabinets and components and light aerostructures for Aviation Projects & Programs for Commercial & Business Aircraft OEMs & In-Service Clients we offer, Designing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Testing, Certification, Installation, and Support services. GAL is a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO 27-12) with 561 and 573 approval, AS9100 Rev C Certification, EASA 145 Certification and FAA authority. We offer maintenance, refurbishment, repairs and modifications of aircraft interior components for in-service Transport Category Aircraft.

We are looking for a Program Manager. This position reports to the Program Manager Director.

This person will plan and design the program and proactively monitor its progress. In addition, you will be asked to resolve issues and take appropriate corrective action. Program directors interact with stakeholders across the organization, as well as outside vendors and consultants. Although their formal work hours typically align with the normal Monday through Friday, 9-5 framework, most seasoned program management professionals anticipate that those hours will vary based on whether a program is moving as planned.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  • Formulates, organizes and monitors interconnected projects;
  • Decides on appropriate strategies and objectives;
  • Coordinates inter-project activities;
  • Leads and evaluates project managers and other staff;
  • Develops and monitors deadlines, budgets and activities;
  • Apply change, risk and resource management;
  • Assume responsibility for program staff and providers;
  • Evaluates program performance and aims to maximize return on investment;
  • Solves large-scale project problems;
  • Develop or approve budgets and operations.
  • Report detailed status updates to leadership and executive team.
  • Apply change, risk, and resource management principles when needed.
  • Initiate and set goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies.
  • Keep senior management informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations.
  • Participate in costumer review meeting.

Required Qualifications :

  • Project management certifications like PMP from the Project Management Institute, or the SAFe certification for Agile project management practitioners or any similar certification.
  • BSc/BA diploma in management or a relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus.
  • Must have a minimum of 3+ years experience in a similar role within the aerospace industry;
  • In-depth understanding of project and program management techniques and methods;
  • Proven track record as a successful program manager, or project manager
  • Experience managing complex program implementations.
  • Knowledge of current program management methods and best practices
  • Experience with budgets
  • Excellent data analysis and reporting skills
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Experience with industry-standard project management software and tools.
