The Program Manager, FOP Business Strategy will support the Flight Operations team in consolidating and aligning the division’s strategy and key initiatives. They will act as an analysis leader, advisor, and resource to the division providing the insight to recognize issues and produce detailed strategic and operating plans. This position will interface with all areas of Flight Operations, as well as cross-divisional teams, to support continuous improvement initiatives impacting operations, employee satisfaction, safety, and financial performance. It is important the successful candidate be able to quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust and respect with peers and leaders. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong business acumen, make quick decisions, provide alternative perspectives, and when necessary, challenge conventional wisdom. The successful candidate will bring a value-added contribution to the team decision making process. The position will report to the Manager of FOP Business Strategy but will interact closely with all areas of Flight Operations. Specifically:
- Identify, develop, and implement solutions that leverage data to achieve sustainable success across the division.
- Develop presentations for leadership audiences
- Support and/or drive key divisional strategic planning processes, working across businesses and functions to frame the divisional strategy and drive alignment and execution on key initiatives
- Assess/diagnose business opportunities
- Create policy and processes that support divisional change management.
- Identify and prioritize action items and develop and implement solutions that leverage data to achieve sustainable success
- Effectively communicate and interpret complex operational strategic vision and methods for a "non-technical" audience
- Build divisional strategic plans
- Effectively deal with complex projects entailing frequent interface with leadership level individuals
- Develop strategic & tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety & well-being

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent work experience in a related field required
2+ years of relevant business experience required
Proven ability to organize, prioritize, handle time constraints, and manage shifting priorities
Strong quantitative, analytical, statistical, and conceptual thinking skills
Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills
Experience in management consulting, corporate finance, and/or strategy is a plus
Assertive and confident thinker with ability to push the envelope; action oriented and capable of helping to define strategic options, scenarios, and consequences
Experience developing and implementing strategic plans
Excellent written / oral communication and presentation skills
Strong project management skills
Must have a passion for improving processes and identifying new solutions
Demonstrated ability to deal with complexity and think strategically as well as innovatively
Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills required, with an emphasis on seeking input and understanding concerns of other stakeholders
Positively resolves conflict and removes obstacles to change; creates an environment where established ways of thinking can be provocatively challenged and evolved
Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.

Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
- Project management certifications and/or certifications
- Experience with benchspaning, six sigma, Lean and Theory of Constraints (TOC)
- Ability to produce presentations to Flight Ops Leadership
- Proficiency in Smartsheet, PowerBI, and MS Excel
- Knowledge of CFR Part 121 regulations
- Knowledge of Delta Air Lines Flight Operations
- Ability to make high-impact decisions based on quantitative and qualitative factors
