A Program Manager 1 is responsible for assisting with overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of various projects by coordinating project teams, set project goals, create project plans, allocate resources, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of deliverables. They also track project budgets, manage risks, and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
Essential Functions
- Assist the Program Director or other Program Managers and customers in determining project requirements and developing a work plan to execute the work.
- Assist with or develop cost and/or technical proposals for assigned and new projects.
- Assist in the management of or manage assigned project cost, schedule, scope, and budget.
- Assist with or act as the hiring manager for assigned projects/programs; supervise the screening, selection, and hiring of all candidates.
- Ensure projects/programs are executed to the highest level of safety and compliance.
- Ensure all personnel meet/exceed professional standards and embrace the AEVEX culture.
- Effectively communicate expectations and develop innovative strategies to enhance organizational capabilities that support operational priorities and requirements.
- Prepare and update project plans and status reports and provide updates on customer and corporate issues.
- Serve as the point of contact for all customer contact and inquiries, general correspondence, requests for technical and pricing data, and other program transactions.
- Develop or assist in the development of program schedules, integrating industry best practices to meet or exceed program financial goals.
- Develops and maintains strong working relationships both internally and externally, and positively represents the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies
- Working knowledge of US Military and Federal Acquisition Regulations.
- Ability to develop and mentor/ others.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office suites (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Education / Certifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited University (MS or MBA preferred).
- Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification or DAWIA Level 1 (preferred) Experience
- 5-8 years Program/Project Management experience is desired.
- Military or defense industry experience

AEVEX provides a reasonable range of compensation. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The range of starting pay for this position is for the listed location only.
Salary Range
$100,000—$120,000 USD
