What Will You Be Doing?

As a Program Manager, you will be the primary interface between the business, technology, and operations organization(s). You will be responsible for all programmatic aspects of your assigned initiatives/programs/projects with specifically focused responsibility for airports, cost, schedule, technical planning, tracking, reporting, technical execution, and ensuring overall program performance objectives are achieved, in alignment with enterprise standards.

You will participate in business resource planning/tracking in coordination with other enterprise entities and responsible to formulate teams (as necessary) that can fulfill program requirements.

You will be responsible for ensuring program issues and problems are identified, tracked, and resolved.

You will be responsible for program risk management and ensuring risks are identified, mitigated, tracked, and managed.

Youll be responsible for interfacing on project/program status, developing proposals, researching/fact-finding, coordinating audits, and negotiating with project/program stakeholders to ensure enterprise initiatives meet cost, budget, and schedule constraints.

Essential Functions/Requirements

1. Program/Project Management

  • Develop, implement, and monitor contracts with vendors, ensuring conformance to approved plans and contract specifications.
  • Lead program/project teams to develop and gain approval of project plans, which outline the objectives of the project, scope of work, and project elements, including schedule, project deliverables, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing staff requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects.
  • Change Advocate- Reviews change readiness assessments and makes recommendations for organization change management actions to increase readiness and adoption of technologies deployed

2. Financial Management

  • Provide oversight and guidance over the development and monitoring of project budgets
  • Analyzes requirements across interdependent projects to identify opportunities for synergies and cost savings
  • Applies financial knowledge of budgets and estimation to successfully manage projects
  • Anticipates potential budget concerns and takes actions to avoid issues
  • Develops financial models and reviews scope and budget to ensure assumptions are clearly documented and tracked during project delivery

3. Risk/Assumptions/Issue/Dependencies (RAID) Management

  • Forecasts and evaluates risks with the identification of actions to avoid or minimize negative impacts on the project

4. Process/Tools Management

  • Enforce PMO methodology, usage of standard tools and drive for continuous improvement
  • Drives PMO standard tools optimization for effective portfolio management within the framework of the organization.
  • Applies the knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to meet the project requirements and achieve business results
  • Enforce standardized and relevant document templates into central repository for Frontier community.
  • Coaches PjMs in the team on the Program/Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC) process

5. Communication/Relationship Management

  • Develop relationships with and ensure appropriate participation of key stakeholders and executives.
  • Serve as a contact in PMO for business relationship for project management services and practices.
  • Provide communications on services, utilization, engagement, accomplishments, overall value-add to the organization.

  • Requires ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire teams, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations
  • Requires skills in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and literacy in the program management disciplines
  • Experience with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes. Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes
  • Expert level program/project management and business analysis skills and proficiencies in related methodologies, with a minimum of 8 years of successfully managing projects of "high complexity" as reflected in: size of project, cost of the project, size of project team, depth and breadth of project manager role & responsibility, span of project impact (i.e., enterprise-wide, multi-departmental, or having a major market or external impact).
  • Bachelors Degree in business or technical related discipline, combination of relevant education and work experience considered in lieu of degree
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Masters Certification in IT Project Management, Certified Scrum Master or similar work experience is preferred
  • Domain experience: 5+ years of experience in the aviation field or relatable experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
