UOP is hiring an experienced Account Manager with Full Cycle Salesaccountability in the Refining, Petrochemical, and Adsorbent industry. Thisposition will preferably be based in Des Plaines, IL, US Gulf Coast will beconsidered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Relentless focus on conducting business with the highest degree of integrity and compliance. 
  • Lead opportunities through the entire sales cycle: Identify opportunity, clarify bid, develop sales strategy, enroll and aligning sales support, submit proposal, close the deal, work with order management, production planning and service to make, deliver and service the product.
  • Lead the customer relationship for assigned customer set.  Be able to work issues through their chain of command and understand the customer business drivers, decision-making process, and key decision-makers. 
  • Forecast & build product demand and revenue (for refining, petrochemical, catalysts, adsorbents) for assigned accounts 18 months into the future and deliver on resulting annual targets.
  • Forecast & build project opportunities and revenue (for technology sales, engineering work, gas processing, etc.) for assigned accounts 18 months into the future and deliver on resulting annual targets.
  • Manage customer relationships and coverage by sharing information and maintaining account plans throughout UOP.
  • Support HONEYWELL Business and Technology functions by providing market and competitor intelligence.
  • Report and work with internal resources to resolve customer issues, including legal agreements.
  • Maintain all internal work and sales processes, e.g. SFDC.
  • 25-50 domestic travel annually.

The annual base salaryrange for this position is 146,000 -183,000. Please note that this salaryinformation serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factorswhen extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope andresponsibilities of the position, the candidates work experience, educationand training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • BS degree in "STEM" field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics).
  • 3 years minimum of operations, technical support, or economics and planning experience in either the refining or petrochemical industries (i.e. knowledge of catalysts and absorbents application in the respective industry)
WE VALUE
  • The ideal candidate will have 3 years min of technical sales or sales support experience; focused on solution-selling techniques with demonstrated ability to sell into a competitive market place and achieve premium prices by communicating the value achieved by the customer using UOP technologies, products and services
  • 3 years min experience with UOP-Licensed refining and petrochemical catalytic process technologies; specifically Platforming, Butamer, Penex, Hydroprocessing, Oleflex, Parex, or similar.  
  • General knowledge of the application of catalysts, adsorbents, & process technologies in refinery, petrochemical, and gas processes in either the refining, petrochemical, gas, and midstream industries in the Americas
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM tools  (SalesForce preferred).
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work effectively with other sales colleagues and sales support functions is key
  • A strong customer and business focus
  • Fluency in English
