Job Summary:
The role is responsible for driving internal control excellence and finance transformation efforts across newly integrated and existing entities. This position focuses on implementing and enhancing Internal Financial Controls in alignment with Group standards, conducting risk assessments, and fostering a strong compliance culture. Acting as a strategic advisor, the role supports cross-functional collaboration with Ethics & Compliance, Procurement, and Enterprise Risk Management to ensure robust governance and control frameworks. Simultaneously, the position plays a critical role in Post-Merger Integration (PMI), developing and executing finance transformation roadmaps aligned with the Target Operating Model. Through detailed project management and stakeholder engagement, the role ensures successful integration, drives process and organizational change, and enables long-term value realization and operational excellence within the finance function and beyond. This role is contingent upon obtaining all necessary regulatory approvals and the successful closing of a transaction which will result in establishing a new Airbus Affiliate in Kinston, NC (the “Kinston Affiliate”)

Your Challenges:
Post-Merger Integration, Finance Transformation (40) :
Build comprehensive roadmaps and action plans to execute finance transformation initiatives aligned with the Target Operating Model (TOM) for the newly integrated entity.
Act as a key driver of the overall PMI (Post-Merger Integration) effort, ensuring close alignment between finance and other functions (e.g., HR, IT, Legal) and consistent adherence to the integration action plan.
Develop and execute detailed project plans covering scope definition, resource planning, timeline management, risk assessment, and change management strategies to ensure high-impact transformation is delivered on time and within budget.
Support end-to-end transformation across finance processes, organizational structures, technology landscapes, and team culture, promoting sustainable change and operational excellence.
Facilitate knowledge transfer and capability building to embed new ways of working and ensure long-term sustainability of changes.
Collaborate with leadership to identify integration-related synergies, track benefits realization, and continuously refine integration and transformation approaches based on evolving business needs.
Internal Controls Implementation & Improvement (35):
Provide support as well as advice to Finance and HO Regional Internal Control & Affiliate Finance. Ensure alignment of local Internal Control practices with Group standards, expectations and priorities or risks.
Conduct internal control assessments and risk analyses, identifying gaps and recommending remediation.
Lead the definition of a Compliance Roadmap for entities in the region
Work with senior management in defining and leading deployment of internal control roadmap and standards in order to efficiently balance business needs, operation needs and risks.
Support documentation of applicable Internal Financial Controls.
Promote a culture of compliance, accountability, and operational efficiency ( e.g. awareness / training sessions)
Act as an Internal Controls advisor to internal functions and counterparts and foster best practice sharing.
Ability to work with senior management in defining and leading deployment of internal control standards in order to efficiently balance business needs, operation needs and risks.
Constantly monitor and review Internal Controls compliance levels and ensure applicable internal control requirements are included in supplier technical requirements, contracts and KPIs.
Enterprise Risk Management (25) :
Lead ERM Implementation & Adoption: Manage the implementation/execution of the ERM process: reviews, challenges and assesses ERM effectiveness and ensure adoption of the ERM process and tools
Oversee Risk Reviews & Mitigation: Participate in risk reviews, assess progress, challenge findings, and ensure effective follow-up on mitigation and improvement actions.
Support Risk Analysis: Support Risk and Opportunity analysis/assessment.
Consolidate & Report: Aggregate risk exposure to support senior management decisions and deliver Top R&Os report to AAI ERM Manager.
