The work of Manager-on-Duty includes directing supervisory personnel within assigned functional area; overseeing and advising on staffing requirements; monitor/administer discipline/corrective action by or for subordinates; ensuring customer satisfaction by daily feedback; acting as liaison between first level supervisor and upper management. Proactively monitors the work of assigned employees to ensure that customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet or exceed standards. Maintain and control all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation.
Additionally, the Manager-on-Duty ensures proper handling and storage of dangerous goods (DGR), including maintainingsecure and organized DGR areas, verifying documentation for import/export shipments, ensuring correct segregation, andpreparing essential documents like the Notification to Captain (NOTOC). They are also expected to respond to otherreasonable requests from management.
