Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking a Manager Administrative Services 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse, individuals for our Manufacturing Affordability Business & Engineering Organization. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.

This role will be responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and direction for the integrated Systems Wester Region in three main areas: Records Management, Engineering Support, and Mail Services.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • This manager will be responsible for the coordination and distribution of United States Postal Service (USPS) mail, and company correspondence.
  • This manager will be leading 10-15 employees in Computer Support, Administration Generalist, Technical Librarian, Mail Courier, and Systems Analyst.
  • Mail Services staff also assists with deliveries of newsletters and corporate announcements to each building lobby, provides interoffice envelopes, company letterhead, envelopes, and updates site bulletin boards.
  • Aeronautics Systems Records Management provides services that enable organizations to comply with records retention requirements for the entire life cycle of information from creation through use, storage, retrieval and final disposition. Department staff are thoroughly trained and experienced in records and information management.
  • Aeronautics Systems Records Management services along with Corporate and Aeronautics Systems procedures satisfy administrative, contractual, financial, historical, legal, technical, and vital records requirements.
  • Manage and maintain the classified tapes and documents vaults. Ensure government compliance for all programs. Provide required documentation to legal for litigation cases. Ensure compliance for all AS internal and external Records audits. Manage off-site Records Storage vendors. Train and manage 216 Records Administrators. 
  • Engineering Support provides Sector and Enterprise engineering organizations with full service wide-format printing/copying and document scanning capabilities which combine both electronic and conventional copying technologies including digital imaging and duplication. Engineering Support also provides full service Technical Library and Publications support for both the U. S. Air Force and U.S. Navy program contracts.
  • Engineering Services provides engineering drawing production, mylar production and copy production.
  • The Document Conversion, Scanning & Archiving Management organization utilizes state of the art high volume scanners that support paper, microfilm, roll film, Aperture Cards and Large Format drawings, delivering digital output to various systems in both image and text formats.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED AND 6 years of professional experience in Administrative, Facilities, or business related experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree AND 2 years of professional experience in Administrative, Facilities, or business related experience OR an Associate’s Degree AND 4 years of professional experience in Administrative, Facilities, or business related experience
  • 2 years of leadership/management experience.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance as well as the ability to obtain Special Program Access.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must have Records management, mail services, engineering support and/or document conversion, scanning, and archiving management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Special program access
Salary Range: $86,400 - $129,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
