KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The New Pacific Airlines Inspection Supervisor is responsible for supervising all maintenance checks and Required Inspection Items (RII) on the Company’s De Havilland Canada Dash 8 aircrafts. This includes assembling, distributing, collecting, and completing all inspection paperwork packages for any inspections accomplished. The Inspection Supervisor primarily works out of Anchorage, AK but will be required to travel for Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) facilities. Other responsibilities aligned with New Pacific Airlines’ Core Values include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting safety by assuring proper certification of all parts and materials used in the repair, modification or overhaul of all Company aircraft, components, and related parts.
  • Contributing to the reliability of the Company’s operations by assisting all Inspection and Maintenance personnel in any matters pertaining to the release for return to service of all Company articles worked on or system tests accomplished.
  • Verifying the repair and overhaul of all articles and components are accomplished within the authority of the Company&39;s certificate and that the work, when required, has been properly inspected, ensuring the integrity of our operation is upheld.
  • Ensuring safety is prioritized at all levels, such as verifying tooling used to test, measure or inspect work is current, that the correct settings were used, and that the tool operation met the requirements of acceptable data.
  • Upholding the integrity of Company processes and procedures by ascertaining that all necessary inspection and maintenance entries on forms, tags and/or work orders used by the certificate holder are properly executed by the Inspectors, Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMT), Repair Technicians, and/or unlicensed Technicians for projects to which the Inspection Supervisor is assigned.

Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate has the required maintenance and inspection experience and certifications and will meet 14 CFR 65.83 (recent experience requirements). Other qualifications include:

  • Must possess high school diploma/GED.
  • Must possess a current FAA mechanic certificate with both an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) rating.
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in maintenance/inspection activities and have met the recent experience requirements of FAR Part 65.83.
  • Must be knowledgeable, or able to become knowledgeable in the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), the Company’s General Maintenance Manual (GMM), manufacturer’s maintenance/service manuals, and the appropriate parts of the Company’s Operations Specifications.
  • Must be able to work all shifts, to include weekends and holidays, and be able to travel out of state to domestic and international locations for several weeks at a time.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have excellent record-keeping skills and be proficient, or able to become proficient, in documentation using maintenance tracking software program.
  • Must have own hand tools or be willing to purchase the necessary tools to perform the responsibilities of the position.
  • Must be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather, when necessary.
  • Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position, which include repeatedly lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS).
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test. 
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
  • Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.
