PDS Tech is hiring a Project Manager – Aerospace Facilities Integration to support high-priority operations inside an ITAR-regulated aerospace facility in Chicago, IL. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity where your leadership directly impacts project delivery, compliance, and operational success.

Pay Rate: $48.00 to $52.00/hour (Negotiable Based on Experience)

Position Overview
The Project Manager will lead multiple facility integration projects from planning through execution and final validation. Acting as the central point of coordination, you will work directly with site leadership, engineering teams, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and fully compliant with all standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning
Develop and execute comprehensive project plans with site and integration teams
Define timelines, milestones, and cost tracking processes
Manage scope, schedule, and budget to ensure successful delivery
Design Coordination
Partner with engineering firms to obtain stamped and approved drawings
Ensure all designs meet Factory Mutual (FM) and internal facility standards
Drive design revisions, approvals, and cross-functional alignment
Permitting & Compliance
Secure all required building and fire permits
Ensure compliance with local codes and facility standards
Maintain audit-ready documentation for regulatory and internal review
Testing & Abatement Coordination
Coordinate demolition testing and environmental abatement activities
Ensure work is performed by approved contractors
Monitor Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) compliance throughout all phases
Contractor Oversight
Manage and escort contractors and subcontractors onsite
Enforce safety, security, and access protocols
Drive adherence to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) standards
Deliverables
Detailed project plans with clear timelines and milestones
Consistent progress reporting to leadership and integration teams
Strong coordination across all stakeholders
Successful final inspection, validation, and project handoff
Performance Expectations
Deliver projects on time, on budget, and fully compliant
Maintain strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards
Execute across all phases with minimal disruption to operations
Drive measurable improvements in facility readiness and performance
Required Qualifications
Experience in facility or capital project management
Background in aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial environments (preferred)
Strong knowledge of permitting, building codes, and compliance processes
Experience with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong leadership, communication, and execution skills
