The Life Flight Network Foundation Development Director is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing Life Flight Network Foundation’s major gift fundraising. This position cultivates and manages relationships with foundation donor prospects and partnerships, the development and submission of foundation funding requests, and the growth of the foundation funding portfolio. Maintenance and growth of the foundation funding portfolio will contribute to the company strategy, helping to diversify the organization’s funding base.  

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Fundraising, Philanthropy, Business Management, Public Administration or a related field preferred. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a fundraising leadership role preferably in healthcare
  • Proven experience involving foundation development, including direct interaction with high level foundation officials
  • Experience and/or knowledge of philanthropy preferred
  • Demonstrated record of success in generating significant grant revenue, including six- and seven-figure gifts
  • Excellent coordination and organization skills
  • Self-motivation and discipline to regularly set and achieve work goals
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse staff
  • Ability to think critically, objectively, analytically, and strategically
  • Ability to maintain a high level of poise and professionalism
  • Attention to detail and timeliness in responding to requests from prospective donors, partners, and colleagues
  • High level computer literacy with internet-based research and basic software including Outlook, Word Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent technical skills in writing, editing, formatting, research, negotiation, and verbal communications.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with budgetary processes including establishing stretch goals, forecasting and planning for growth, developing strategies to adjust and pivot to market demand and demonstrating corporate fiscal consciousness 
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to and from events evening and weekend events as required

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop plans and provide fundraising expertise to executive team
  • Identify and qualify individual, corporate and foundation prospective donor pool 
  • Manage portfolio of major gift prospective donors 
  • Cultivate and maintain existing donor relationships to maximize funds raised
  • Plan corporate and foundation activities including web-based fundraising at the local and national level 
  • Prepare written proposals, informational materials, endowment agreements, gift illustrations as needed 
  • Develop and present targeted amount of major gift proposals per year
  • Track and manage databases to record and utilize donor information

Salary Range: 104,485.00 - 151,346.00
