Fleet Sales Manager (Full Time)

POSITION SUMMARY:
• Conduct direct sales of Piper Fleet Aircraft in assigned region and flights schools
• Provide input and recommendation for helping establish annual and long-term marketing strategies designed to guide the department toward accomplishment of company goals
• Analyze market trends affecting aircraft sales and inventory levels and conduct demographic studies to establish future market potential in sales territory
• Establish and maintain contractual agreements and appropriate policies and procedures for the conduct of business within territory
• Develop sales forecasts and aircraft commitments
• Analyze new products or business opportunities and make appropriate recommendations
• Work with Fleet Sales leadership to prepare sales presentations and RFP’s for flight-training organizations
• Maintain familiarity with general aviation product developments and competitor activities
• Travel to inspect facilities and qualify prospective new distributors in open territories
• Attend and represent Piper at appropriate aviation trade shows
• Pilot duties to include (not limited to): Delivery acceptance, Customer Demonstration, Corporate transportation, Production Flight test (RTS), Return to service – post maintenance flights.

Education and Experience
BS/BA in Aviation Business or relevant field is preferred
Proven experience in sales, marketing, and corporate flight operations
Commercial Pilot Certificate with instrument and multi-engine ratings is required as well as a minimum of 1,000 hours total pilot time and 100 hours of multiengine time in general aviation aircraft
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities- A foreign language is a plus
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Familiarity with aviation business and flight school operations
Excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to both office and plant environments. May be exposed to odors, chemical agents, dust, fumes, gases, sharp objects, hazardous or moving equipment, wet slippery floors, and extremes in temperature and humidity.
Interacts regularly with various staff and employees, and occasionally with vendors, suppliers, community members and regulatory agency representatives
Travel and overtime are required when necessary
