The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an F-22 Mission Systems Design & Test Manager to join the F-22 Mission Systems team located in Berkeley, MO.
This position is within Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Fighters organization supporting the F-22 BGS business organization.
The system design & test manager is responsible to lead, mentor and staff a team of Mission Systems design, test, and analysis engineers for the F-22 team developing aircraft software.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Manages, develops and motivates employees.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at the Berkeley location.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Currently possess a Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
8+ years’ engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience leading all aspects of developing system requirements, architecture, and design, as well as test preparation and execution
Experience in leading engineering teams (technical or managerial)
Strong communication skills
