Raytheon has an immediate need for a Material Program Manager within our EW Systems Business Unit in Goleta, CA. This is a key role working on a classified Supply Chain Integrated Product Team to ensure successful execution of one or more programs in the electronic warfare domain. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership as the material focal for the program, directly accountable for ensuring overall supply chain performance. This individual will be able to exert influence on objectives and long-range goals and metrics of the program. The MPM must be a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational and program objectives, and must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal and supplier management.
What You Will Do
- Responsible for material risks and opportunities, reporting at both Customer and program level
- Developing and executing supply chain strategies and plans
- Creating, managing, and executing material program strategy (MPS) and the material program plan (MPP)
- Providing comprehensive Supply Chain support for Gates 0-11 activities and ensuring compliance for the programs and tailoring when applicable
- Having overall ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, SCM metrics, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
- Developing and leading supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates.
- Developing and executing risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives.
- Identifying and developing opportunities for small business participation
- Monitoring and proactively addressing performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS.
- Developing and tracking budgets, targets, initiating and maintaining accurate sales forecasts, short-range outlooks (SRO), material EACs, sales and operating Plans and Annual Operating Plans (AOP)
- Acting as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for material.
- Flowing down Supplier Management Best Practices to suppliers which include risk mitigation and subcontract management plans.
- Working knowledge of PRISM/SAP
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of eight (8) years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Supplier management and/or Subcontract management
- Supply chain and related systems, procurement, MRP, receiving, cost estimating, and finance.
- Translating customer terms and conditions into supplier requirements and reviewing statements of work for completeness and conformance to program requirements
- Material pricing/estimating and proposals.
- Managing technical requirements to a schedule and budget
- Preparing and presenting presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders
- Interfacing with all levels of internal management
- Contract negotiation.
- Working in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment
- Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Coordinating strategies and managing tactical execution

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
