Are you an experienced Full Stack Lead Developer with a passion for innovation and ready for a new challenge in the dynamic aviation environment? Then we have the perfect role for you in the KLM FastTrack team!

What will you do?

As a Lead Developer, you will play a crucial role in the FastTrack team, shaping the technological vision. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing high-quality software solutions for our customers. Additionally, you will mentor the team, guiding them in making technical decisions and solving complex problems. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, with a focus on innovation, and the freedom to explore and implement new ideas to continuously improve our technological solutions. Your main tasks include:

  • Planning, designing, developing, testing, and implementing high-quality software solutions.
  • Conducting code reviews and inspections to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Troubleshooting issues and providing solutions to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Leading a team of full stack developers in developing software solutions.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet customer needs and requirements.
  • Defining architecture and development standards to ensure the quality, scalability, and reliability of our solutions.
  • Exploring new technologies and tools to enhance team efficiency and productivity.

Where do you land?

The FastTrack team supports customers in multiple domains, including Cargo, Crew-planning, Finance, and Engineering & Maintenance. As an Agile (multi)product team, we build web applications in a remarkably short time, which we also maintain and support. The FastTrack team is dynamic and driven, consisting of enthusiastic professionals who are motivated by innovation and result-oriented work. Our team uses a modern technology stack, allowing us to work efficiently and effectively on a wide range of projects.

Your profile
  • A completed HBO or WO degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a full stack developer.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum and working with development teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks like Node.js, React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Experience with backend technologies such as Java (8, 11, 17), Spring & Spring-boot, SOAP & REST, Maven, Hibernate, and JPA.
  • Experience with one of the following technologies is a plus: Liquibase, Webflux, resilience4j, Kotlin.
  • Experience with database technologies such as Postgres, MySQL, and Pgadmin.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, & Apache Tomcat.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Dutch, both written and spoken.
