Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Chief Operating Officer, this position provides leadership direction, and management for the Communication Centers and Helicopter Dispatch.
Responsibilities Include:
Overall accountability for personnel and budgetary decisions pertaining to the operation of all PHI Health LLC Communication Centers.
Responsible for ensuring a safe operational environment. Work closely with Legal Department, Human Resources, Risk Management and Safety to manage and reduce risk and liability in all aspects of daily operations.
Responsible for compiling national CQI data, key performance indicators and audits of PHI and partnered Communication Centers.
Works with Regional Directors, Business Operations Manager, Base Medical Supervisors and Aviation Management to maintain a continuous improvement process for programs that involve the Communication Centers.
Collaborates with all service lines to ensure operational issues are addressed in a timely manner and with appropriate personnel.
Oversees the hiring of Communication Center personnel in coordination with the local Business Operations Manager.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of training materials and maintains oversight of the training program and processes.
Responsible for the creation and annual review of PHI Health Communication policies, procedures and nationwide standards.
Responsible for coordinating large-scale projects including technological advancements and implementation of additional services within the Communication Centers.
Assist in presenting spaneting materials to internal and external customers.
Develop goals and objectives for the Communication Centers consistent with the mission and goals of the company.
Assist in new base and program startups to ensure a smooth transition with PHI Communication Centers.
Respond when appropriate to RFP’s when Communication Services are requested.
Manage, maintain and administer any Communication related contract in conjunction with other Program Management and the Legal Department.
Perform other duties as required.
Responsible for successful integration and launching of Patient Navigator Services as it relates to the partnership with NaviLife Health Solutions, as well as independently as part of PHI Health’s Transfer Center Services.
Responsible for on-going spanet analysis and needs assessment of current PHI Health customers, as well as new customer opportunities.
Responsible for understanding hospital business needs and participating in direct relationships with senior hospital executives and Physicians to not only successfully secure contracts but also develop customer profiles and build operational requirements.
Responsible to meet or exceed annual sales goals set for the Transfer Center Services department budget.
Responsible for contract development, review, and negotiation of Transfer Center related services with senior Hospital Leadership with the understanding of potential liabilities or other possible negative implications affecting PHI Health.
Prepares quarterly reports for PHI Health leadership team analyzing customer sales, revenue, opportunities for growth, areas of concern and other related key performance indicators and analysis.
Collaborates on regular basis with PHI Health leadership team to understand current initiatives and possible opportunities for growth.
Participates in PHI Health Base visits to assist with internal customer education and awareness of Transfer Center Services.
Maintains an active and contributing role with all aspects of PHI Health’s strategic imperatives and specifically promotes Destination Zero initiatives.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Responsible for supporting company Safety Management System activities.
Complying with company HS&E policies and procedures.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
High School diploma or GED required.
Prefer BS in Business Management or related field or equivalent work experience.
Five years operational management/supervisory experience, preferably in the Health/aviation industry.
Health transport experience strongly preferred.
Must possess good writing, speaking and interpersonal communication skills.
Leadership skills and the ability to relate to a subordinate staff by leading, coaching and developing their leadership potential.
This position is designated Safety Sensitive for purposes of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act.
