We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for engine and mechanical transmissions applied to both civil and military aviation (i.e., accessory drivetrains, engine thermal management, turboprop & helicopter reduction gearboxes, etc.).The Deputy Fleet Manager will support the Fleet Manager during the execution of a MRO in-service contract in order to guarantee the contract KPIs and if required the achievement of engines availability. In this role you will monitor the fleet health status, directly interacting at Customer operating bases, and manages the corrective actions to restore serviceability.Furthermore you will be responsible to execute software simulations to improve, monitor and optimize fleet operation and shop engine maintenance process.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Ensure Contractual KPI achievement through monitoring and optimization of engine operative parameters (Time on Wing, etc.), scrap and repair rates, level of pools (O/I/Depot).
Ensure all in-service data are collected and available (stock level, TAT of parts repair and procurement, engine failures, scrap/repair rate…)
Update forecast analysis (engine/modules/accessories rejection, pool, material consumption)
Update the input provided by GSC, in agreement the Program Manager, to align the operative plan for engine shop visits to contractual KPIs
Lead a technical review process on fleet status parameters and availability
Develop and maintain updated the cockpit to monitor the main parameters to support the contract
Update, together with the System Engineer, the ToW models (Weibull’s parameters, fleet ageing, scrap and repair distributions)
Ensure all in-service and shop data are collected and available
Execute simulations using in-house software
Analyze simulation results and provide insights and recommendations
Actively participate to supply review within SIOP process in order to provide operating plan and stock target
Collaborate with the Fleet Modeling Analysts’ Team to improve the forecast models
Support the Operator to define operative fleet deployment
Have knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within fleet modeling discipline.
Qualifications/Requirements
Master’s degree in engineering (Aeronautical/Mechanical preferred) from an accredited University
Previous experience in similar role
Good knowledge of Python language (or similar)
Ability to plot, summarize and analyze data
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in reliability analysis
Available for job travelling
Good English and Italian language knowledge, both written and oral
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
Desired Characteristics
Knowledge of statistics and probability
Knowledge of R language
Familiarity with Monte Carlo methods
Familiarity with version control systems
Experience in cost and value engineering
Interest in management of aeronautical products in-service
