Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Category Manager to support our team in Everett, Washington.
This role serves to lead the development of Category Strategies, Category Management Plans and the execution of supporting projects on both legacy and product development platforms. This role relies heavily on the ability of the category managers ability to communicate efficiently at all levels to translate engineering and supply chain aspirations into practical plans.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Senior and Lead level Category Managers.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop a deep understanding of product and service needs
Translate expertise into near and long-term category management plans to innovate, capture value and optimize the production system
Ensure supply contracts align with category vision
Leverage detailed knowledge of category and supply base for key projects and incorporate best practices and methodologies from sourcing, fabrication, technology, and licensing
Utilize buyer/market profiles, identify marketplace and technology trends, and define acceptable service levels
Monitor market dynamics that impact materials/services availability and/or pricing
Support solicitations, request for proposal analysis, and negotiations
Drive category plan integration with internal stakeholders across the enterprise business units and functions
Develops detailed knowledge of key categories, suppliers and industry
Establishes relationships across the enterprise and supply base
Leads cross functional teams to identify and develop implementation plans for key high value projects
Advises business unit functions developing solutions for operational and business challenges including quality/delivery, long term agreement and negotiations
Partners with enterprise stakeholders and industry to drive category vision into key activities such as long-term agreements, make-buy-transfer decisions and corporate initiatives
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
10&43; years of experience developing and managing large-scale project plans through the full project life cycle
5&43; years of experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing data, then summarizing findings
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related field
10&43; years of experience of strategic sourcing objectives including supply base optimization, enterprise leveraging, supplier performance improvement and business considerations to develop the companys supplier base
6&43; years of experience building and using industry knowledge for planning and performance accomplishment. This includes knowledge of competition and strategic partners
6&43; years of experience in leading complex opportunity capture and problem solving
Typical Education/Experience:
Senior (level 4)
Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Lead (level 5)
Typically 15 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for senior: $122,550-$141,900
Summary pay range for lead: $142,500-$165,000
