The role: Flight Manager Technical

The Flight Manager Technical in collaboration with the Engineering department will support The Flight Technical and Safety Manager as required to ensure the continued smooth running of the BACF Fleet.

What you’ll do:

  • The role of the Flight Manager Technical is to be the Subject Matter Expert for Air Operations on all Technical matters impacting on the operational aspect of the Fleet and ensure operational standards are maintained, delivering a safe and secure operation.
  • The role is responsible for ensuring that Manufacturing guidance is reviewed and implemented where operationally required within the Operational Procedures and Technical Manuals.  
  • As part of the role the Technical Manager will support the wider Air Operations Management Team with general leadership and management duties when required, providing effective people management to develop team capability, direct performance towards business goals, ensuring the standards of all colleagues meet the requirements of the organisation. 

What youll bring to BA Cityflyer: 

We’re looking for a candidate who is a strong teamplayer, who has good organisational skills to work on own initiative, will need the ability to prioritise own workload effectively, needs to be open and honest and have the ability to adapt to change.

Your experience:

Experience in a commercial background, having previously held an Embraer type rating and be conversant with Performance A and experience in working with MS Office Software,

Previous experience including a strong aviation technical background, experience of leading a team, working with 3rd party regulators within a regulatory environment and knowledge of the UK CAA or EASA regulatory requirements are desirable, however on the job training will be provided.
