Primary Objective of the Position:

The Associate Manager, Sales will be responsible for customer relationship management, strategic planning, and data analysis to support overall partnership growth for key Canadian based accounts. They will be responsible to provide commercial direction by offering solutions and innovative ideas that drive customer performance, growth, and satisfaction.

Essential Position Functions:

  • Maintain existing accounts by providing support and relevant solutions to meet customer needs, conducting regular account analysis, and addressing any concerns in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to business growth by identifying & prioritizing business opportunities.
  • Develop and manage customer business plans for annual revenue growth, while managing customer expectations through the creation and utilization of KPIs and account specific metrics.
  • Coordinate with the customer and internal Cargojet stakeholders (marketing, revenue optimization & enablement) to ensure a seamless sale to service experience.
  • Remaining current on industry trends, local market conditions and competitor activities.
  • Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring clients requirements are met.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings, according to company standards & ensure brand consistency.
  • Attend and participate in conferences, exhibits, and trade shows to promote our services.
  • Collect and analyze sales data and trends.
  • Actively manage, leverage, and update account data in the CRM system.
  • Exhibit superior customer service throughout the engagement process and with after hours support.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales and people management roles.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to synthesize large amounts of data into actionable business insights.
  • Logistics experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a CRM system.
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic, team-player, and demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt messaging to engage with different cultures and levels of management.
  • Ability to communicate bilingually in English and French.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Excel and other business intelligence tools.
  • Ability to travel, up to 25.
