>This role is critical to maintaining and ensuring the operational readiness of our fleet of wheeled vehicles, including tactical vehicles, trucks, and other heavy-duty equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, with hands-on experience working on a variety of military or civilian wheeled vehicles.
>You will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems of vehicles. You will perform preventive maintenance and service duties, ensuring our vehicles remain in peak condition and ready for any mission or assignment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on wheeled vehicles, including 2.5-ton and 5-ton trucks, Humvees, and similar equipment. Diagnose, repair, and replace malfunctioning components in engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues in vehicle systems and perform necessary repairs. Ability to identify, isolate, and correct mechanical or electrical faults.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled services, change oil, replace filters, inspect systems, check fluid levels, and ensure the overall functionality of vehicles.
- Mechanical Systems: Repair and maintain engines, suspension systems, brake systems, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, and air conditioning systems.
- Documentation & Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate service and repair logs for each vehicle, including parts used and hours worked, ensuring compliance with maintenance schedules and safety regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work with other mechanics and teams to prioritize tasks, maintain equipment readiness, and troubleshoot complex problems.
Required Qualifications:- Mechanical Knowledge: Strong understanding of the maintenance and repair of wheeled vehicles, especially military-grade trucks, Humvees, and other tactical vehicles.
- Technical Skills: Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues. Knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems in wheeled vehicles.
- Physical Requirements: Must be capable of lifting heavy parts, working in various weather conditions, and standing for extended periods.
